The last of the three Japans, after Naoshima and the Kumano Kodo. Tokyo was the opposite of everything that came before it, the biggest city in the world after weeks of islands and forest paths. I photographed it the same way regardless, just walking. A conductor leaning out of the shinkansen, side streets at night, crowds moving like weather. Even a city this size has its quiet corners, you just walk until you find them.
