Nicolò shoots on medium format and 35mm film, prints by hand, and makes photographs that are more interested in atmosphere than in description.
Born in Italy, he showed his first solo exhibition in Milan at nineteen, photographs made in Myanmar, and that same year worked at Vogue Italia under Franca Sozzani. He has shot exclusively on analogue since 2023.
The appeal is in the restraint. Finite frames, irreversible decisions, a process that asks for full attention at the moment of making rather than fixing things later. Film is tactile in a way that digital is not, and that physicality, from loading a roll to pulling a print, keeps the work honest.
