It was my daughters who brought me back to photography after a period of stepping away. Documenting their lives from the very beginning and as they’ve grown reignited my passion. In many ways, each photograph I’ve taken feels like a small act of preserving the fleeting moments of their childhood, which are already slipping into memory. Over time, transitioning to film allowed me to slow down, fully absorbing each moment with them and imbuing the images with a sense of timelessness. There's a certain nostalgia in knowing that these captured moments, like all moments, will eventually blur and fade, but they remain suspended here. Christopher Anderson’s book Son taught me the value of deep, intimate, personal photography. His ability to capture daily life in a transcendent, romantic way has inspired me ever since, and I aspire to do the same.
